2017 seems to be the year for complete remodels, and the Outlander is no exception to this trend. The compact SUV under the Mitsubishi banner, this vehicle has received an all-new front fascia, sharper rear styling, and a redesigned banner.
Equipped with a 166-hp, 2.4-litre, four cylinder engine, mated with a CVT with front-wheel drive. For those looking for something a bit more powerful, the option of all-wheel drive is available.
The interior of the vehicle received more insulation, damping, and thicker rear door glass, designed to reduce not just noise, but vibration and harshness as well. The vehicle should feel more rigid and secure due to a redesigned suspension and stronger chassis. It also has a redesigned steering wheel and a new navigation/multimedia system with Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto compatibility.
Safety features will include many new technologies that seem to be standard in many of the 2017 vehicles including pedestrian-detection capability, Blind Spot Monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert.
Four models of the Outlander will be available: ES FWD, ES AWD, SE AWD, and the GT S-AWC.
Pricing for the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander will begin at $25,998.
