Ford makes no excuses for the 2018 Mustang – it’s a modern muscle car and they are proud of it.
What else can you say about a car that is promoted as looking fast, feeling fast, and yes, it is fast.
With its fastback design and iconic front end and grill, the Mustang is easily one of the most recognizable cars on the road.
For 2018 Ford has made few changes – notably in the available engines.
First there is the 2.3 L EcoBoost that is rated at 310 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.
That’s a lot of power pumped out from a relatively small powerplant.
Then there is the 5.0 L V8 Coyote, available on the GT version.
Rated for 435 horsepower, there a signs from auto enthusiasts looking this car over that there may be an increase of about 20 horsepower based on both direct and port fuel injection and a higher compression ratio.
Ford hasn’t admitted that yet, but drivers are waiting to hear the official final numbers.
This year’s Mustang comes with four wheel options each designed to enhance the sleek and sporty look of the vehicle.
You can select from two black painted aluminum rims, polished aluminum, or nickel-painted forged aluminum, and all are 19 inch rims.
In the cockpit you know you’re in a vehicle designed for driving pleasure. With standard bucket seats and a wide console, the shifter is exactly where it should be – in the hand of the driver.
A new optional 12 inch LCD instrument cluster is the first all digital display ever offered in a Mustang.
You can customize colours and chose your gauge layout meaning you are in control of everything you see.
This isn’t a family car and it’s not a vehicle you choose for driving on snow covered back roads.
This is a Mustang – built for speed and driving fun – and proud of it.
