The designers at Kia put a lot of work into creating an automobile that will be noticed on its profile alone – and they have succeeded with the new 2018 Kia Stinger.
A mid-size sedan, the Stinger is a low profile lift-back with graceful, yet sporty lines and contours that guide your eyes to the race inspired signature ‘tiger-nose grille that is between LED headlamps and cold air intake vents.
The new Stingers is poised to redefine that segment of the auto industry that is currently led by European automakers.
Designed with a long wheel base, the Stinger affords plenty of room in the rear seats and provides stability on the road.
It is being billed as a true gran turismo – a car built for spirited long distance driving.
Two engines are available depending the model.
The base 2.0 L, 4-cylinder produces 255 horsepower at 6,200 rpm with 260 lb-ft of torque.
The GT version of the Stinger comes with a 3.3 L, twin-turbo V6 Lambda II engine which puts out 364 horsepower offering a maximum amount of torque at 376 lb.-ft.
With that kind of power the Stinger GT will go from zero to 100 kph in just 5.1 seconds.
The GT is equipped with standard all-wheel drive making it suitable for all four seasons and all road conditions.
Inside, the Stinger was designed for a driver who enjoys being behind the wheel as one of those great pleasures in life.
The cabin was inspired by an aircraft cockpit and the front seats wrap around the pilot with easy to reach controls and a convenient centre console.
With a standard full-width premium sunroof overhead, there are many luxury features such as available premium Nappa leather seating and a choice of carbon fibre or aluminum style interior trim.
Staying connected with the world is easy with the standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration systems in every vehicle.
The 2018 Kia Stinger will be one of the most stylish and high performing sedans in the market this year.
