Toyota is taking it up a notch with the new 2018 Camry which has been totally redesigned and already has people in automotive circles talking.
Currently in its eighth generation, the Camry has been designed on a completely new platform and has updated engines, transmissions and technology.
From the base model L and LE to the luxury focused XLE and sport SE and XSE, there are plenty of options to choose from.
If the over all look of a vehicle is your main interest, you’ll find the newly engineered Camry has made some major steps forward in design.
The spindle grille defines the front end along with distinguishable ‘V’ design reaching up to a slightly sloping hood with wrap around headlights and a distinctive vent molding that define the front bumper. There are four insert designs available.
The lower and wider stance gives the Camry a more muscled look than previous generations and
and a mix of sweeping curves and chiseled surfaces define the shape. A rear spoiler completes the look.
Inside, the driver’s cockpit is redesigned to make you feel like you are in control. With higher quality all around and comfortable redesigned seats, driving the new Camry becomes an experience that is fully enjoyed when you are behind the wheel.
There many available features when it comes to driving assist technology including a Pre-collision system with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. All models come standard with a Star Safety System including Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control and ten airbags.
Under the hood the Camry has made advancements to provide more power.
The standard 2.5 L Dynamic Force 4-cylinder engine provides 203 horsepower with 184 lb.-ft of torque.
That’s an increase in over all power from last
year’s model.
You can step up to the 3.5 L V6 DOHC 24-valve engine that produces 301 horsepower with 267 lb.-ft of torque.
Both engines utilize the D-4S direct-injection system which selects the optimal injection method based on driving conditions and provide enhanced fuel efficiency.
Both engines provide more than adequate power for driving in the city or on the highway.
Over all the new 2018 Toyota Camry is getting high marks from the top automotive reviewers and test drivers who have poured over every inch of this new model.
Everything from performance and handling to exterior and interior design has received a thumbs up from people who know cars.
