This is the new breed of Mustang.
The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is the all-new electric vehicle based on the iconic heritage of one of Ford’s most popular vehicles. This is Ford’s first long-range electric car.
Slightly different in design compared to its gas powered namesake, the Mustang Mach-E features a redesigned body shape and a front end that is more in line with an electric vehicle.
The traditional front grille designed to allow airflow has been replaced with a new design.
Inside, the vehicle has a surprising amount of both legroom and headroom. There’s also 29 cubic feet of storage space in the back accessed through a hatch door and 4.8 more cubic space of story in the front trunk are where the gas engine is usually located.
Taking your place behind the wheel you’ve got the typical sporty Mustang feel.
The centrepiece of the interior is a huge 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen display that is mounted in the centre of the dashboard. Along with a wealth of vehicle information, the screen also allows for Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto along with a wireless charging pad underneath the display.
Included in the package are USB ports.
For those that think they will miss the rumble of a big time V8 engine, the Mach-E comes with its own growl that emulates the sound of a revving engine. You can even turn off the engine sound if you want to.
Ford has put a lot of technology into designing the new Mach-E. With an estimated range of 425 km, you won’t have to worry about coming up short on longer trips.
Using the power and torque that comes from an electric motor, the Mach-E can hit 60 mph, from a standing start in the mid five second range.
The all-new 2021 Mustang Mach-E is expected to be on the market later this year and is one of the most anticipated vehicles in the automotive world.
