Advanced Auto Electric believes working together helps make the mechanic industry stronger
One of the things that makes Advanced Auto Electric unique is its attitude
towards other businesses and mechanic shops in the area. Other shops are not the enemy, but rather, parts of the puzzle that build up the auto-repair industry as a whole.
“Ever since I started my business, I don’t see other garages as competition that I need to out-do or get rid of. It’s not proper business to do that,” said John Bitar, Owner and Technician at Advanced Auto Electric. “I see other shops as an opportunity to help one-another.”
His philosophy on that plays into every aspect of his business – from making sure he doesn’t advertise or work in a way to steal another company’s clients, to going to other shops when he needs help and vice versa. It’s not that abnormal to hear John on the phone, advising another shop how to fix a problem or having them do the same for him.
Between his relationship with the other shops and the client base he has built, John added that he loves working in Orangeville, because of how great everyone is.
The growth of Advanced Auto Electric was quick; the business started in 2006 through helping do electrical repairs and installations at other shops, and by 2010 his client base was big enough that he had to open up his own shop, now located on Green St.
“Orangeville seems to be a great crowd, and it’s all about the word of mouth here,” said John. “If you make one person happy and they love it, they tell all their friends and all their family, and you have even more people coming because of a good reference.”
Everything for Advanced Auto Electric is all about the great service, which is part of why John does everything from working as a tech with his employees to answering phones, booking appointments and everything in between.
“The expectation is that they’re going to get good service, and they’re not going to get ripped off or lied to,” he said. “We keep that up, and that’s how we’ve built the business.”
