If it has four wheels and was built in the U.K., it was probably on display during the British Classic Car show held at the Caledon Fair on Saturday, June 9. From MG’s to Jaguars and Austin Mini’s, and a few models you may not heard of, car owners proudly displayed their vehicles while visitors walked along rows of cars talking to owners and admiring some well restored older classic models. There were a lot in the sport variety and many were convertibles displayed with the tops down giving an good view of vintage car interiors built at a time when only a couple of gauges were on the dashboard and a radio was an option that cost extra.
Of course many of the cars had right hand drive and there were several that looked like they came right out of a James Bond movie.
This car show is unique as all the cars were at one time or another imported from the U.K. and would have been considered foreign and exotic when they first arrived on North American shores.
