Buick test drive supports ODSS
Get behind the wheel of a brand new vehicle and see what everyone has been talking about during the Buick Test Drive For Your Students event that will be held at Orangeville District Secondary School on Saturday, May 27.
Sponsored by MacMaster Buick GMC, the event gives the public a chance to try out some new vehicles while supporting the local high school at the same time.
“We did one two years ago and the result was a donation of $10,000 to ODSS,” said MacMaster Buick GMC Commercial Truck Manager, Jeff Hall. “We bring 15 to 20 Buick and GMC brand vehicles. For every test drive that takes place Buick Canada will donate $20 to the Orangeville high school to a maximum of 500 test drives and $10,000.”
Students from the high school have also volunteered to help on the Drive day as well as promote the event in the school and in the community.
The funds raised are used to support school programs.
This year the school will be using funds to support sports programs as well as the school’s student breakfast program.
“All you have to do is show up. One of our staff or high school volunteers or one of the 20 volunteers from the soccer team I coach will take your name and get you set up with whatever vehicle your interested in. You’ll go for a test drive along a two kilometre route. We’ll have you fill out a before and after survey and your name is added to the list of test drivers and Buick pays out $20 for every name on that list. It’s no cost to you – no donation required – it’s just a few minutes of your time,” Mr. Hall explained.
Of course test drivers will have to have a valid driver’s license and must be 18 years of age or over.
There will also be a free barbecue and some entertainment provided by students at the school.
The event is a great opportunity to see and drive the new generation of Buick vehicles.
The Buick Test Drive For Your Students event will be held in the parking lot of ODSS next to the soccer fields from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
