On Saturday May 25th Fines Ford Lincoln hosted their 3rd annual ‘Drive One’ test drive fundraiser to benefit schools and organizations in Caledon. Thisyear’s event was held at Allan Drive School in Bolton and the beneficiary was D.A.R.E. Caledon. Drug Abuse Resistance Education has been taught for the past 11 years to all Grade 6 students in Caledon and this fundraiser was essential to maintain this highly effective socially relevant programme.
Over 130 members of the community participated by taking a free test drive in a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle from Fines and Ford of Canada donated $20 for each test drive that took place. The most popular vehicles driven were the Ford F-150 truck and the all-new Lincoln MKZ. Bolton Rotary participated by selling burgers and hotdogs and donating the proceeds to D.A.R.E. The day was a great success thanks to the efforts of Bob and Janet Fines, Valerie Arnold-Judge, Officer Marianne Burgener, OPP Auxiliary and all of the volunteers.
