Fines Ford Lincoln
A tradition of customer service in Caledon
Bob Fines has represented Ford Canada in Bolton/Caledon area for 40 years. With that kind of commitment to not only the product but community, Fines Ford Lincoln is the obvious choice when deciding to purchase a new or pre-owned Ford.
Carlos Martins, General Manager, said that the sales staff at the Bolton dealership, located on Highway 50 south, possess skills that only come from years of professional experience.
“The sales staff are here with career commitments. Certainly that is an important advantage for us as we have ongoing continuity of our salespeople. If you have been here once and come back a few years later, you are going to work with the same sales professionals.”
Mr. Martins said that their salespeople pride themselves on product knowledge.
In terms of continuity, Mr. Martins said that the ability to continue to cultivate relationships with customers could only be done if you have known them for some time.
“Bob Fines has been actively selling vehicles in Bolton for 40 years; first as a car salesperson and now, over the last 27 years, as the Dealer Principal”.
Mr. Martins said being involved in the community has always been a really important factor for Mr. Fines.
“We have been a major sponsor of the D.A.R.E. program, providing transportation for the D.A.R.E. OPP officer for the past 13 years.” We are proud to have supported sports teams, the Peel plowing match, Bolton Fall Fair and Rotary club events. We have held driving events to raise money for schools and food drives for Caledon Community Services.”
Fines has recently partnered with Canadian Gold Medalist Rosie MacLennan. We are proud to help an amateur athlete with transportation while she trains and completes her Masters at U of T.
Heather DeCastro, New Vehicle Sales Manager, has been at Fines Ford Lincoln for 17 years. She profiled the outstanding sales team that possess not only experience gained through many years working at the dealership, but an immense amount of product knowledge. Each salesperson also has a unique ability setting every one of them apart and making each member essential.
“Jack Larsen, our senior salesperson, works with us on a part-time basis. He is 83 years old now, and he has been around and working with Bob as long as he has owned the business,” she said. “He still comes in and is still as sharp as anyone half his age. We still have people come in and ask for him”.
Ms. DeCastro said Mike Boileau has been with the company for 12 years. “He’s bilingual, which comes in handy with our French speaking clients as well as our frequent business with Quebec dealerships,” she said. “He came from a completely different background. Mike owned a coffee truck business. What brought him to the dealership is the same thing that we are happy to hear brings our customers in, which is the reputation of our staff”.
She said that Mr.Boileau just approached Bob directly and said, “I’d like to try this, will you give me a shot.”
“He’s never looked back. He is our top-selling salesperson and has received multiple awards by achieving the highest level of vehicle sales and customer service,” she said.
Lisa Bryant has been at Fines Ford Lincoln for eight years now, and Ms De
Castro said she came, again from a completely different background.
“Lisa was working n the kitchen wares business and again, has never looked back,” she said.
“Lisa has built a very loyal client list and has also achieved multiple awards for vehicle sales and customer service.”
Bob Biggart is the one person who came to Fines from another dealership, so he came with some experience.
“He’s been in the business longer than I have; about 40 years. He came from another Ford store and is a great fit with our team,” said Ms DeCastro. “I am hard-pressed to find anyone who has more product knowledge than this man, and that’s where he does so well. If anyone has a technical question about how a vehicle works or what option is available with a particular model Bob has the answer in seconds.”
Aaron Cisco came to them from Georgian College where he graduated with an Automotive Marketing degree. “We have used this program in the past to hire co-op students as part of their schooling, and we’ve had a good experience with it,” she said. He is extremely good at what he does, and is very driven. He is young and works very well with our diverse clientele. He has been with us for three years.”
Mary Beitz is a salesperson that came from a retail sales background.
“She was with us a few years back, and rejoined our team earlier this year. I’m so happy she decided to come back. She is a great fit with our team and is wonderful with clients. Mary is the type of person that can make
anyone feel comfortable when shopping; regardless of their age, gender or automotive knowledge. She will not hesitate to make them feel at home.”
Tom Cheslea joined the Fines Ford Lincoln team in 2010 as the Commercial Sales Manager. “Tom has worked over 40 years with Ford at the retail and corporate level. His knowledge of commercial vehicles and the specific needs of customers have brought his clients back year after year.” said Ms DeCastro.
Louise Askin is the Financial Services Manager, and has been with the team for almost 16 years. “In terms of continuity, everyone needs to meet with Louise to review their finance options and secure products and services to protect their investment,” said Mr. Martins. “She can answer any question a customer may have; so, if you have bought a vehicle from us within the last 15 years, you know Louise. We continue to appreciate her knowledge of financing and her expertise.”
