As part of their continued dedication to finding the best ways to serve their customers and clients, MacMaster Buick GMC has announced their participation in the new GM Business Elite Program, a program designed to assist customers with businesses in having a smooth, easy way to run their
business and minimize down-time due to vehicle unavailability. One of the biggest parts of the program is that it allows the dealership to provide loaner vehicles – at no cost – to both current and potential business customers when they are in need of an additional vehicle. “Basically the idea behind it is that we want to keep your business running as smoothly as we can, without hiccups on the sales side or the service side of your business,” said Jeff Hall, Commercial Truck Manager at MacMaster. “The program allows us to have vehicles set aside for when a business client is in a pinch, whether it’s because a vehicle is being serviced, they’ve picked up an extra job, or any other reason they might be short.” The loaners available include trucks, heavy vans and SUVs, with some outfitted to handle ladders and tools as well as shelving in the van. The Business Elite Program also includes the Express Business Service for clients with fleets, providing everything from round-the-clock towing, to worksite delivery of the loaners and extended hours to make pick-ups and drop-offs more convenient for clients. “It’s really designed to keep clients on the road longer and avoiding unnecessary down-time,” said Mr. Hall. “We stay open later, so you don’t have to close your business to get the equipment and service you need to keep your business thriving.” One of the other major selling points for the Business Elite Program is that clients deal with their own, individual account representative regarding all of their needs, rather than dealing with multiple people at the dealership. “When you have a problem, issue or question, you’re calling a guy who knows you, knows your business and knows your needs,” explained Mr. Hall. “They know your fleet and are there to work with you. Instead of dealing with different departments for different needs you are dealing with one guy who knows who you are and what you’re about, and can service all of your needs at the same time.” Another popular option has been an up-fitting program that allows customers to customize the vehicles in their fleet according to what they need for their business. “We’re able to do things for them like providing work vans with ladder racking and interior shelving, trucks with tool boxes and ladder racks or bars, depending on what they need,” said Mr. Hall. “It allows them to customize their vehicles to what they need for their business. In some instances at no charge or a drastically reduced price.” While the program is still in its early stages, the program has received positive feedback and garnered a lot of interest from local
businesses relying on GMC for their fleet needs, as well as from businesses that were not initially GMC customers. “It’s been a very good program, it’s been well-received and it’s been drawing a lot of business in to the dealership,” said Mr. Hall. “They like the idea of having vehicles to use when they need them. It’s really gotten off to a pretty good start. We have a few work-ready loaners on the road now and tons of clients taking advantage of the extra services available to them.”
