With the chill in the air, the leaves starting to change colour and darkness arriving earlier each evening, you know it will be the end of another great season of Car Shows.
The Highway 11 Cruisers seem to stage their Car Show for the longest period of time. This year the season ran from May 22nd to October 9th – 6pm to dusk. The Cruise Nights are staged in the parking lot behind Harvey’s in the north end of Newmarket, 17860 Yonge Street, in front of Home Depot.
The Cruisers last show was October 9th and there was a nice variety of automobiles and bikes as well as a good number of visitors.
In addition to the awesome vehicles, ranging from classic old cars to muscle cars and custom cars, there were bikes with so much shinny chrome that the setting sun reflected nicely to provide a fitting conclusion to a super season of Car Shows.
An added feature at the Cruisers show each week is Bob Hawkins, a local and popular disc jockey sending out tunes across the parking lot from the ‘50s and ‘60s for all to enjoy. The cars and bikes, tunes, along with food from Harvey’s takes you down memory lane.
Looking forward to another great year of shows in 2013.
