The Hobby Obsession just got bigger in Alliston
Looking for another hobby to pass the winter months while your full sized hot rod or sports car is in storage? Well, 4 years ago Joe and Marcy Hatt took their lifelong love of scale models and started “Hobby Obsession” This is Alliston’s first hobby shop for radio controlled cars. planes and boats, as well as plastic models and accessories. After 4 successful years and the addition of an Owen Sound location the Hatt’s were able to secure the old Alliston bowling lane building at 45 Victoria St. East to expand the operation. This new location has offered them the ability to expand the in house R/C service and repair center as well as open an indoor R/C raceway which can handle everything from on road touring car style racing to stadium trucks and off road. They have weekly race events with electronic timing and scoring as well as a structured point championship. “We are plans for an outdoor dirt track in the spring” Marcy says. There is a large inventory of new vehicles on hand in either ready to run or kit form. These are not toys either, but rather high quality “hobby grade” performance models. As well all the spares to repair mishaps as well as upgrade your vehicle can be found on the shelf. They also have a very nice easy to navigate online shopping system as well. From the look of all the great product in store, this is one hobby one could get truly “Obsessed” about!
